AN ARTIST

Becoming an artist was my first step in the creative process of the value creation process. I, first, showed interest in art during my 8th grade year. Unfortunately, that interest was in graffiti which eventually resulted in me vandalizing properties which then led to my expulsion of grade school, twice. In the new school I was forced to attend, I had to choose between drama or art class, and well, I obviously chose art. In the following weeks, I discovered the connection between graffiti art and traditional art, and thus, launching my art career.

As you can see in the link below, the work I've created and the platforms they were created for are quite diverse, but the strong common ground was the purpose. Although I enjoyed creating pieces of original art and murals, the real motivation behind it was the message behind the work, the Gospel.

I realized at the age of 18 that I should be using my "talent" as a way to honor and serve God, rather than a self-gratifying, selfish approach to increase my ego. Thus I created What Would Jesus Paint where a good friend of mine, Jeremiah Navarro, would paint murals that spread love, encouragement, and hope - the Gospel. As I grew and created the Gap Collective, we transitioned What Would Jesus Paint under The Gap Collective.

Now, after moving back home to O'ahu, Hawai'i, I will be relaunching my public art initiatives, as well as, custom commission projects. Please don't hesitate to connect with me if you have any interest in utilizing my skill set for your benefit.
